EVERYONE better be there and no one has an excuse except for Kevin cause if i was him i would stop breathing and if that happened it would be physically impossible for me to be there cause i would be dead. Simple science.

I need to take some of you buggy guys to task here talking about being more competitive than Short Course. There have been more photo finishes in the last year in SC than I have seen in any of the other classes. I've seen Robb Leonard beat Greg Bagnell by half a truck length, I beat Dave Meany by a fender to notch my first win, and I've seen Mike, Danny, Dave, and Todd run lap after lap bump drafting around the track in the last few months. The trucks might be slow, and are certainly less demanding to drive than a 2WD or a stadium truck, but let's not talk about it as though we're all short bus riders in SC. Feel free to throw a truck down Thursday night; if you think you'll run away in the A Main you'd be mistaken. I know that there are guys who can really wheel in 2WD and Truck, and I have a lot of respect for you guys that can be competitive in Truck and 2WD because I know they're a handful, but there's no reason to dump all over the SC drivers.

I agree with you here Chris...  My apologies if in any way I made it seem like SC is less competitive.  I just hope it stays 17.5 as like I said, slower motors decrease the gaps regardless of who is driving them and the big turnouts in SC 17.5 is what I believe is encouraging new racers to join in the fun.

Think of it this way...you show up on a race night and are considering getting into RC.  BAM!  SC is stacked with 3 heats and not all of the drivers look like pros so it you say to yourself...I won't screw anyone up and it looks like fun.  BAM!  In the shop leaving with a new 17.5 SC!

Then guys like me will actively draft, lol, guys like you, Rose, etc. to 2wd buggy.  My rationale for pushing this is: a) I don't want to see SC dominated by 1 or 2 guys and b) I want 2wd buggy to be the most competitive class...even if it means worse finishes for me as.

My opinion comes from several years of running at RCE and I just hope that this SC 17.5 class sticks as it is by far the best class we have had to entice new and old racers alike.
