looks like the tekin motor is too long to fit in the chassis, it wont go back far enough to fit a 36 tooth pinion. the backplate of the motor (where the sensor goes) hits the rear suspension front mount. any ideas would be great.

I fit a Ballistic into mine, and they're even longer, but I did have to snap off the angled part of the solder tabs for it to fit. And mine slid far enough back for a 49t pinion, so I'm not sure what's hitting what, but something isn't right. If it doesn't end up fitting, I've got a 3 run Duo 1...

You have to take some material off of the motor side of these things. http://www.losi.com/Products/Features.aspx?ProdId=LOSA9690

It depends on motor. I know with a tekin it will need it since there isn't any beveled edge or any cutouts in the motor.

looks as it will be too much to grind off, it will end up into the cup for the suspension pin. need a shorter motor or a beveled end. do you want to trade motors? the tekin is brand new.

I bought Kevin's Type-R, he will straighten you right out. I can say he spoiled me, I really have no idea how much work he put into to it to make it as mint as it is. One slick car Kev!
